KHA, a newly recognized Korean halal certification agency, to help Korean companies
The Korea Halal Certification Authority (KHA), located in Daejeon, Korea, has been approved by JAKIM to use its halal logo in Malaysia. KHA expects to help Korean industry to enter the Islamic countries and Malaysia markets with its halal mark.
In line with approval by JAKIM in Malaysia, KHA's International trading arm, International E & C (CEO Kim Jin-yu), acquired a Malaysian trading company (IKHTIAR INDUSTRIES) to help Korean companies solve the difficulties in distributing and managing small-scale exports.
An official from KHA said, “In order for halal products to enter the Islamic country, it is necessary to select the correct buyers and approach them with reliable halal certification. Overseas large marts and large retailers do not trust most individual buyers or small distributors. On the contrary, they are selecting products from large Korean supermarkets and department stores or contacting the Korea Halal Certification Center to purchase products. ”
